Why this product?
Paid option from manufacturer Skytraxx that activates FLARM reception (Aware) and ADS-L transmission on a Skytraxx device that does not yet include them as standard. The device selector on the official product page explicitly lists the SKYTRAXX 4.0, 5 and 5 mini: all three models are therefore confirmed compatible with this option. Since 2026, new SKYTRAXX 5 and 5 mini units already include this feature as standard; this option therefore only concerns devices already owned by the pilot (5 and 5 mini purchased before 2026, or any SKYTRAXX 4.0). The exact device model must be specified when ordering. Important: according to the general terms published by Skytraxx on the official page for this option, FLARM activation remains subject to the agreement currently in force between Skytraxx and FLARM and automatically renews each year, unless this contract changes on FLARM's side — this is therefore not a one-time purchase guaranteed for life, but rather access dependent on a third-party FLARM license renewed annually by the manufacturer.
