Why this product?
The Skytraxx 4.0 is a GPS vario from the German manufacturer Skytraxx, with color screen, FANET and FLARM (direction not confirmed as standard — see compatibility notes). It is no longer produced or sold by the manufacturer or its resellers (discontinued model): FlyVisible does not sell it, but lists it for pilots who already own one, in order to document its compatibility with existing Skytraxx accessories (remote control, dedicated silicone case), the premium connectivity renewal, and the paid FLARM+ADS-L option. The device selector on the official page for this paid option (€99) explicitly lists the SKYTRAXX 4.0 alongside the SKYTRAXX 5 and 5 mini: FLARM reception (Aware) and ADS-L transmission are therefore confirmed available for this model, but only via this paid activation — they are not included as standard (unlike the SKYTRAXX 5 and 5 mini sold new since 2026). No price is displayed for the device itself: it is no longer available to order.
